Terms of Service
Last updated: January 2026
By accessing and using displaypixels.io ("the site"), you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.
1. Description of Service
DisplayPixels provides free, browser-based tools for testing and measuring display properties such as screen resolution, refresh rate, pixels-per-inch (PPI), dead/stuck pixels, colour depth, HDR support, and CSS media-query generation. All tools execute client-side in your browser; no server-side processing of your display data takes place.
2. Accuracy Disclaimer
The measurements provided by DisplayPixels are based on browser-reported APIs (such as screen.width, window.innerWidth, devicePixelRatio, and requestAnimationFrame). While we strive for accuracy, results may vary depending on your browser, operating system, display driver settings, and hardware. DisplayPixels does not guarantee that any measurement is perfectly accurate.
The PPI ruler tool relies on manual calibration against a physical reference object. Accuracy depends on the user's calibration precision.
Do not rely solely on DisplayPixels results for critical purchasing, professional, or warranty-related decisions.
3. Acceptable Use
You may use DisplayPixels for personal, educational, and commercial purposes (such as testing your own or your clients' screens). You may not:
- Attempt to disrupt or overload the site's hosting infrastructure.
- Scrape or systematically download site content for republication.
- Inject malicious code or attempt to exploit the site.
- Frame or embed the site in a way that misrepresents its origin.
4. Intellectual Property
All content on DisplayPixels — including text, design, code, and graphics — is the property of DisplayPixels and its creator unless otherwise noted. You may share links to any page freely. You may not reproduce substantial portions of the educational content without written permission.
5. Photosensitive Epilepsy Warning
The dead/stuck-pixel test includes a "pixel-jog fixer" feature that produces rapid colour flashing. This may trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy. Use at your own risk and discontinue immediately if you experience discomfort.
6. Third-Party Services
The site uses Google AdSense for advertising and Google Fonts for typography. These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. DisplayPixels is not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
7. Limitation of Liability
DisplayPixels is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its measurements, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms at any time by updating this page. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable member state where the site operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
